On July 21 we started our return cross-country trip, but I haven't had internet access until now, so I'm posting 4 days at once. The day we left we drove to Big Sur. Along the way we stopped at an MVF restaurant in San Luis Obispo, The Ribline, and we also stopped to see the elephant seals. We camped at the Andrew Molera State Park which we had to hike a half mile in to get to. All the other campgrounds were full.

How many of you did it take to eat that sandwich?
ReplyDeleteI ate the whole thing myself. In the MVF food challenge they ate a 3 lb. version of that sandwich!
DeleteWas it a big snake? Based on the picture on a location I would say it is probably a California King Snake (http://www.californiaherps.com/snakes/pages/l.g.californiae.html)
DeleteThey come in a billion colors (seriously google the name and see) and their stripey pattern can also vary slightly.
Speaking of snakes - Phil and I discovered that we have tons living in our yard! The previous owner put out some cover boards and we lifted one of them up and found 15 snakes! Don't tell Aunt Pam.
What kind of snakes?! Maybe the bears will eat them!
DeleteI'm so glad you saw the elephant seals! They're unbelievably noisy.
